Establishes mandatory email deliverability rules, consent requirements, bounce and complaint thresholds, SPF/DKIM authentication rules, and spam prevention standards.
CapEngage maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding unsolicited bulk email ('spam'). All customers utilizing CapEngage's High-Delivery Email service, Drag-and-Drop Email Studio, or Automated Drip Sequences must strictly adhere to this Email & Anti-Spam Policy.
Sending unsolicited email damages shared IP sender reputations and violates international laws including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL, and Indian IT Act regulations.
You may ONLY send email communications to recipients who have given explicit, documented permission to receive messages from your organization.
• Direct Opt-In Forms: Subscribers who submitted a web form, newsletter signup, or registration box on your website. • Existing Active Customers: Customers who purchased products or services from your business within the past 24 months. • Confirmed Double Opt-In: Contacts who confirmed subscription via verification link.
Sending to any of the following list types is grounds for immediate account suspension: • Purchased, rented, or leased email lists from third-party data brokers. • Scraped email addresses harvested from public websites or social media. • Co-registration or append lists where subscribers did not explicitly select your specific company. • Stale lists unengaged for more than 12 months.
Every email broadcast sent through CapEngage must contain the following items:
1. Working 1-Click Unsubscribe Link: Placed prominently in the email footer and in the `List-Unsubscribe` header (RFC 8058 compliant). 2. Valid Physical Postal Address: Your registered business address. 3. Accurate Sender Identification: The 'From' name and email address must accurately identify your company. Spoofing domain headers is forbidden.
To safeguard our shared IP infrastructure, CapEngage enforces strict deliverability benchmarks across all accounts:
• Bounce Rate Limit: Hard bounce rates must remain below 2.0% per broadcast. • Spam Complaint Limit: Spam complaints reported by inbox providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) must remain below 0.1% (1 complaint per 1,000 sent). • Unsubscribe Rate: Unsubscribe rates should remain below 1.0%.
Customer acknowledges that causing IP blocklisting or mailbox provider penalties through unauthorized spam dispatches damages CapEngage infrastructure reputation, and Customer agrees to be held financially liable for remediation expenses.
Automatic Deliverability Shield Pause
Accounts exceeding 0.1% spam complaints or 2% hard bounces will have outbound email dispatches automatically paused by our Deliverability Shield.
Customers sending custom domain emails are required to configure DNS records for:
• SPF (Sender Policy Framework): Authorizing CapEngage mail servers. • DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail): Digitally signing outbound messages with your domain key. • DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication): Enforcing domain alignment policies.
